Thanksgiving Schedule Update

7AM Bootcamp/CrossFit Class ONLY on Thursday (get an early WOD in before the craziness of the day starts!) 

THERE will be NO 5AM class on Friday 11/24! All other classes that day (6/9:30AM, Noon, 4/5PM will run like normal!) 

Please join us for the Harvesting Hope 5K!!

Join CrossFit Stapleton THIS Thanksgiving in support of the Stanley Harvesting Hope 5K for Northeast Denver! 

CFS will be holding a 7AM CrossFit/Bootcamp ClassesONLY (for those of you who have to get a jump start on the day) on Thanksgiving Thursday next week. After this class the staff will then head to Central Park to partake in the 5K. 

We encourage ALL of you to register for this race and join us in the help to support this amazing cause.

What are we supporting?

A rare genetic disorder affecting about 1 in 15,000

Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a genetic disorder that occurs in approximately one out of every 15,000 births. PWS affects males and females with equal frequency and affects all races and ethnicities. PWS is recognized as the most common genetic cause of life-threatening childhood obesity.

PWS was first described by Swiss doctors Andrea Prader, Alexis Labhart, and Heinrich Willi in 1956 based on the clinical characteristics of nine children they examined. The common characteristics defined in the initial report included small hands and feet, abnormal growth and body composition (small stature, very low lean body mass, and early-onset childhood obesity), hypotonia (weak muscles) at birth, insatiable hunger, extreme obesity, and intellectual disability.

PWS results from an abnormality of chromosome 15, and definitive diagnosis is now based on genetic testing.

RACE DAY INFO

Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017

The course will take runners (and walkers) through the beautiful paths surrounding Central Park in the Stapleton neighborhood.  As a family focused event, kids 10 and under are invited to participate in a free 1K fun run and strollers are welcome on the course.  Your registration includes a t-shirt, swag bag, and timed results along with free entertainment.

Front Squat x 4-6 reps @ 30X1
Rest 20 seconds
Tall Box Jumps x 1.1.1.1.1
(rest 3-5 seconds between each jump – step down after each jump)
Rest 2 minutes

B. Five sets for max calories/reps of:
30 seconds of Rowing (for max calories)
30 seconds of Rest
60 seconds of Kettlebell Swings (24/16 kg)
Rest 2 minutes
