The Open is over and regional invitations will soon go out.
Here’s what athletes and fans can expect in the coming weeks.
It’s now time to determine who will advance to the next stage of the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games season.
What is Regionals??
Anyone who finished in the top 60 in his or her region must submit video of Open Workout 14.4. These videos are due before April 7. No video will be accepted after April 7, and we encourage athletes to submit video as soon as possible. Complete instructions and a submission link will be sent to the top 60 via e-mail.
After video review, the top 48 men and top 48 women from each region will be invited to compete in the individual competition at their respective regional. Individual invites will be sent on April 9.
The top 48 will have three days to decide whether to accept or decline their individual invitations—April 9-12. Spaces will be backfilled from the 49th- to 60th-place finishers in the region. The second round of individual invites will go out on April 12.
The second-round invitees will have two days to decide whether to accept their individual invite—April 12-14.
On April 14, athletes who accepted their individual invites will have their scores removed from their affiliate team’s score. The team Leaderboard in each region will be recalculated, and team invites will go out to the top 30 teams in each region.
Regionals begin on May 9, and end on June 1. Find the complete regional schedule here. Tickets to the Regionals will go on sale on or before April 5.
Masters competitors who finished in the top 200 worldwide in their age division in the Open are invited to compete in the Masters Qualifier. Note: The Leaderboard will continue to shift until the end of score validation at 5 p.m. PT, Wednesday, April 2.
The Masters Qualifier runs from April 17-21. At 5 p.m. PT on April 17, four workouts will be released. Competitors will have four days to complete the workouts and submit scores.
Competitors will use the same standards as regional athletes. This means they must use a registered judge at an affiliate or post an official video submission. Scores and links to video must be submitted before 5 p.m. PT on April 21.
March 3-April 7. The top 60 individual competitors must submit video of Open Workout 14.4.
April 5. Tickets to regionals go on sale.
April 9. First round of individual invites sent to the top 48 individual competitors in each region.
April 9-12. Top 48 must accept or decline individual invites.
April 12. Second round of individual invites sent out, if any spots remain.
April 12-14. Second round invitees must accept or decline individual invites.
April 14. Individual athletes removed from team scores and team Leaderboards recalculated. Team invites sent out to the top 30 teams in each region.
April 17. All four Masters Qualifier workouts released.
April 17-21. Top 200 Masters competitors worldwide in each age division must complete and submit scores and videos for the four workouts.
April 21. Masters Qualifier scores and videos due by 5 p.m. PT.
May 9. Regionals begin!

May 16-18. Central East (Cincinnati, Ohio), Canada East (Toronto, Ontario), North West (Kent, Wash.), Europe (Copenhagen, Denmark), Australia (Wollongong, Australia).
May 23-25. Mid Atlantic (Washington, D.C.), SoCal (Del Mar, Calif.), South Central (San Antonio, Texas), Asia (Seoul, South Korea).
