Olympic Coaching Tips: Clean and Jerk in Slo Mo

Skip to 2:00 to get right to the Jerk portion of the video… At 5:00 notice the speed at which the lifter pushes himself underneath the bar. Explosion… Power… Speed… That is what we are after when performing the Split Jerk.

A. Strict press build to a max rest as needed – 15mins

 

B. Build to a max weighted chin up (pronated or supinated) 

 

C. Build to a max split jerk from rack
