COMPETITION

Team Series Overview

The Team Series tests the fitness of four-person teams, two men and two women.

It starts Sept. 6, with the release of multiple team workouts. Teams will have six days to get together, complete the work, and submit their scores before the deadline: 5 p.m. PT, Sept. 12. Less than a month later, CrossFit will release the final set of team workouts, which will take place Oct. 4-10.

Teams will be able to choose between two versions of each workout: Rx’d or Scaled.

There will be three divisions: Open (all ages), Teenage (14-17) and Masters (40+).

Registration is $80 for the vast majority of teams. Sponsored teams with brands in their team names will pay $500.

CROSSFIT CLASSES: 

Performance-

A. Six sets of:
Strict Press x 2 reps @ 20X1
Rest 2-3 minutes

B. Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 8 minutes of:
10 Pull-Ups
15 Thrusters (95/65 lbs)
30 Double-Unders

Fitness-

A. Six sets of:
Strict Press x 5 reps (keep it light)
Rest 2-3 minutes

B. Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 8 minutes of:
10 Jumping Negatives (or Ring Rows)
15 Thrusters (barbell)
30 Mountain Climbers (OR :30 DUs attempts)

Competition-

A. Every minute, on the minute, for 12 minutes:

Minute 1 – Nose-to-Wall Handstand Wall Runs x 20 shoulder taps

(focus on stabilizing your midline and maintaining a good vertical position)

Minute 2 – Weighted V-Ups x 10-12 reps

(hold weight overhead for these sets)

Minute 3 – Strict Ring to Sternum Pull Ups x 6-8 reps

B. Five sets for times:

30/20 Calories on the Concept2

100-Foot Farmers Carry (AHAP)

5 KB-GB Squats (HEAVY!)*

100-Foot Farmers Carry (AHAP)

5 KB-GB Squats (HEAVY!)

Rest 3 minutes

*KB Squats = Use BOTH KBs and hold in front rack position
