2018 CrossFit Open Details 

The 2018 Open begins THIS WEEK. 

 week 

Thursday evening at 6PM is when we will find out what our first workout will be for the week 1 of the 5 week CrossFit Open. 

Please join us for our ‘Viewing Party’ Thursday at 6PM. 

What is a ‘Viewing Party’?! WELL – Its a party we throw EVERY Thursday at 6PM throughout the duration of the Open.

THE OPEN BEGINS FEBRUARY 22 AND ENDS MARCH 26TH! 

Announcement/Viewing Party Dates: 

WOD #1 (18.1) – FEB. 22

WOD #2 (18.2) – MARCH 1

WOD #3 (18.3) – MARCH 8

WOD #4 (18.4) – MARCH 15

WOD #5 (18.5) – MARCH 22

We will be running Open WODs ALL day every Friday during ALL class periods (even bootcamp!). 

We will be running a super fun Friday Night Lights EVERY Friday evening from 4-7PM. Heats will run every 20-30 minutes (WOD dependent) and you will have the opportunity to register for your desired heat slot between after 9AM on Friday’s – we will publish a sign up sheet to Facebook Friday morning before 9AM. 

Not a fan a The Open? No worries – we will be adjusting/modifying ALL Open WODs to accommodate our new/non competing athletes! Please come on into you regular class and expect to get an fabulous WOD in on Fridays! Keep in mind, however, Friday evening classes during The Open (2/23-3/23) will be a bit nuts (Friday Night Lights) – but we will still make sure you are coached and taken care of.

If you plan on Wodding AT ALL over the next five week – go on ahead and REGISTER for the Open … you will be doing the WODs anyways!!! #nothingtolose #itssofun #challengeyourself 

 

 

CROSSFIT CLASSES:

Performance-

A. Six sets of:
Deadlift x 3 reps @ 75% of 1-RM Deadlift
(let the barbell come to a dead-stop on each rep, open your hand with the barbell on the floor, then re-grip and lift)
Rest 3 minutes

 

B. Complete rounds of 21, 15 and 9 reps for time of:
Hang Power Clean (115/75 lbs)
Bar-Facing Burpees Over the Barbell (new standard!)

Deadlift x 5 reps @ (MODERATE LOAD 50ish%)
(let the barbell come to a dead-stop on each rep, open your hand with the barbell on the floor, then re-grip and lift)
Rest 3 minutes

 

B. Complete rounds of 21, 15 and 9 reps for time of:
Hang Power Clean
Burpees (new standard!)
